"Hey Chris, You've got some real
good 45's in that box of yours"
Little Willie Littlefield - Norway 2012
Yes, I'm off to Norway again and what a privilege it is to be
asked to dee-jay in the company of Little Willie Littlefield
and Big Moe & Jolly Jumper.
Willie first recorded sixty years ago back in 1952 and was the
composer and original recording artist of "Kansas City" - known
as "K. C. Loving" when Willie cut the disc. Shortly after it was
a local hit, Leiber & Stoller bought the rights from Willie and,
as they say, the rest is history.
I was with Willie at the most recent "Blues In Hell" Festival
and was the M.C. at Burnley about 5 years ago when Willie was
one of the main attractions so it will be great to hook up with
him again and hear some of his stories.

format - I spun my 45's for 1½ hours then Angela Brown did about 1¼
hours, another ¼ hour of records then Jolly Jumper and Big Moe with the
Jimbo Jumbo Band played for 1½ house till midnight, I then finished the
night off closing at 1am.
This was an unforgettable
experience. The venue, the atmosphere and the artists were of top
The hospitality and the
warmth of the people in Stienkjer makes me want to return A.S.A.P.
